My name is Kimberly James, Owner/Creative Director of Josie-Mae. I have worked as an Accounting Manager for over 25 years but my true passion is creativity. The art of transforming a basic item into something uniquely beautiful is therapeutic. I’m not sure when my love affair with planning and crafting began but I have always enjoyed working with my hands and coordinating special events.
In 2018, after years of hearing you should coordinate events "professionally" I decided to walk by faith and start a new chapter. Well, 2020 created challenges that could never have been predicted. So I have completely refocused my efforts from event planning to custom wearables, gifts and event boxes.
My business “Josie-Mae” is a tribute to my grandmothers (Josephine and Jessie Mae). They endured and overcame adversity while always displaying style, grace, honesty, beauty, integrity, strength, love and faith. My grandmother's encompass everything I aspire for Josie-Mae.
